My 7 month old just won't sleep. It's driving me nuts.

He was a good sleeper up until 4 months or so. But he always needed to be swaddled to sleep. I started using one of the sleeping bags where the arms are kept in sleeves but with his hands up (if that makes any sense). It worked for a while. But he started hating that as he kept trying to scratch his face and move around. He just can't stay still. The only way to get him to sleep is swaddling!

DS is now rolling over so I'm fully aware it's not safe to swaddle him anymore so most nights the only other way to get him to sleep is co sleeping. I'm just not getting any sleep because of this. I've tried so many things to help him sleep. I've tried massage, lavender, a sleeping pod, different sleeping bags, white noise but nothing works. He will occasionally sleep in his cot for the first few hours at night but guaranteed by the time I start falling asleep, he'll wake up and not settle until he's in bed with me. I'm at wits end! I have a 19 month old too so it's not the easiest situation but they're both in solid routines.

Does any one have suggestions of what I can now try? Or has anyone seen a sleep specialist? Any ideas how to wean him off the swaddling?

How much does he sleep in the day? It could be that it is not the right amount so is interfering with his night sleep.
Is he in his own room or your room?

@Natalie654321 he still having staggered cat naps mostly in the day. He will sleep max an hour or so, but most of the time his naps don't go over 30/40 mins. During the day he will sleep without me tho, I don't understand why he can't stay without me at night!
