I don't know what I'm doing

I'm a first time mum to a 15 month old boy.
Sleep seems to be the issue that will break me. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, and what to do to sort it.

My son normally gets up at 7-7.30
Bottle and breakfast (about 20 mins after bottle)
First nap at 10am for half hour
Has lunch at 11.30
Afternoon nap around 2.30-3.30
Tea at 4.30
Bottle at 7
Bed for 7.30

These last two weeks I just can't get him to go to sleep. Last night it was 9.30 when I got him down.

Husband said to go to one nap a day. I reminded him we tried this a couple of weeks ago, and yes he goes down easily at 7.30 but within half an hour he is awake again as overtired, and then hard to resettle.

He insisted we try, so we have.
He had his lunch at 11.30 today, took ages as he was being a nightmare with it, asleep by 12.20 and napped in cot until 1.45
He went down easily at 7.30 tonight, BT already been awake and took 25 mins to settle back.

Any advice on nap schedule and what I'm doing wrong? I've always been very relaxed with his sleep and followed his lead with when he is tired, but now it is interfering with going to bed late, so we are trying to have more structure.

We can't let him "cry it out" as he is in a helmet atm and isn't allowed to get too hot, as the helmet already makes him much warmer than other babies. As soon as helmet Is off we plan to try him to self settle...not ideal waiting, but have no choice atm

My son was about that age when he dropped to one nap. For a week or two he’d refused a morning nap at the child minder (3 days a week) but have one for me the rest of the week at home. On child minder days he’d fall asleep in 2 minutes at bedtime but take ages on days he’d had two naps. So then for a couple of weeks I’d let him have a 5-10 min morning nap in the car/pram (easier pre-lockdown of course), so he wasn’t an overtired mess come lunchtime, then up to 2 hours in the afternoon, from 1-3. By the end of the two weeks, the morning cat nap was interfering with him going down for the afternoon nap so I cut it out. Bedtime was then at 7pm. It’s not necessarily right or wrong but it worked for us. Good luck!

Thank you @Peelspeelspeels
He has been up 3 times now since 7.30.

They say if they keep waking it's because they are overtired. So now I'm stuck on what to do as when he has two naps he takes forever to go to bed 🙈 doesn't help being stuck in atm as I'm finding it's testing my patience more than normal.

Doesn't help either our neighbours are soooo loud! Their daughter runs riot until this time every night and we hear the whole commotion

Could it be he's not that tired with lockdown etc? Could you allow two naps and put him to bed at 8.30pm?

@isurvived3under2 it could be as he would normally see grandparents 3 out of the 4 days but hasn't been with lockdown, so is getting bored quickly with me and his toys etc.
I'm wondering if I let him nap too late as sometimes it's 3.30 when he wakes, but so hard fitting it all in with naps and meals etc
