Hi I'm new here... just wanted some advice with regards to my 18 month old. I'm having to sleep with her every night which at first I didn't mind (it started because I didn't want her to wake her older brother up, and it was a way for all of us to get some sleep).
However as she's getting older I feel its time to try and help her sleep on her own...she goes to bed at 7 has some milk and then puts herself to sleep with me lying next to her, I don't pat or rock her. Once she's asleep I can go downstairs to have some much needed me time, then after 30/45minutes she wakes and I have to lie down with her again. This can go on several times and I ended up sleeping in her room. She does have a small double so that I can sleep with her comfortably but I missing me time and time with my husband. I do try to leave her a few minutes to see if she can settle herself but she just gets louder... help Confused
