How do I stop naps in the sling?!??

This is my third baby so you'd think I would have a clue, but no... I'm doing all sorts of things I never did with the other two and now we are in a mess.

DD Is five months old, she will only nap if being held or in a sling. I've gone with the latter of these two evils because my other kids are 3 and 4 and I need to be able to do stuff while she sleeps. All fine and she sleeps well in the sling but this can't go on forever. So how do I stop? She will sleep for five minutes in her bed but just wakes up and is either all smiles and ready to play or screams at me. Either way, she won't sleep.

Do I persevere? I always end up giving up because frankly I can't abandon the other two for hours while I try to settle her, but I'm sick of the sling and think she would sleep better in the long term if I could switch.

Has anyone done this? Help!

Mine only slept on me or in the sling but one (my only transferable sleeper) would stay asleep if I put him down in the wrap once asleep. Worth a try?
