Ollie the owl white noise - am I actually going insane

As I am writing this I am nursing my DD (4months old) with the Ollie the owl white noise sound on in the background. As I'm sat here I swear I can hear amongst the white noise sound some kind of samba/Latin beat mixed in with the white noise.

Before you ask I am of sound health (albeit very sleep deprived)

I'm trying so hard not to laugh cause I actually think I'm going insane. I have this overwhelming urge to get up and give it a little salsa dance 💃🏼 🤣

I swear I hear different things each time that bloody thing plays!! DH says I’m going mad 😂

I heard so many weird things when we first used it! My favourite was a very catchy poppy song that I wish I could remember. I’ve also heard voices like a radio show and accused my husband of having a podcast on.

Hi all. Literally found this thread and joined the group. Hope all is well.
I have ollie around 3 months now and I'm hearing mixed songs and messages when I have the white noise on. Taught I was going insane 😅 creeped out but at least the baby is sleeping 😴

There’s a name for this but can’t recall it but your brain is trying to make sense of the vibrations-I get it from some fans and we have a sleep sheep not an owl here. It’s sooo weird.

This has happened to me with another white noise machine. I have no answer, but kind of think it could be in our minds and something to do with sound frequency etc. Weird

Yep this is absolutely a thing. We have a variation of white noises we use (owl, Alexa, YouTube) and I can hear different tunes in them all! Once I notice them I can’t sleep Grin
