Dressing a baby for bed in summer

So I'm expecting my third baby end of May but had my last one ten years ago so forgive the daft question!!

I'm happier using a blanket with a newborn as opposed to a sleeping bag, and I'm fine with all of the safety rules.

Just not sure in warm weather what to dress her in e.g. s/s vest and sleepsuit, or just sleepsuit, or just s/s vest?!!

Thanks all for your advice Smile

At the moment, my baby is in a 2.5 tog sleeping bag, a vest and sleepsuit. When it was a bit warmer last week, we removed the vest.
Got to play it by ear 😊 if it was consistently warm, I's use a 1.5 tog and a long sleeve vest or sleepsuit only!

Mine was born last May. Someone bought me a gro egg as a gift it was fantastic. I went on their website and typed in the temp, age of baby and weight and it told me exactly what to dress him in and what tog to use.

I tend to make a judgement call on whether a blanket is 1 or 2 tog from the thickness then follow the advice online based on tog level depending on temperature. I often end up going slightly more then recommended though as unless it’s incredibly hot my DD gets cold in sleeveless vests

I think it all depends on the temperature inside your house. I have a really warm flat so my little boy only wears a longsleeved vest and a 1 tog sleeping bag and he is fine all night
