18 month old refusing naps? Should I go with this or...

I need your advice. Suddenly my 18 month old won’t nap!!

He’s never been a big napper - surviving on one 40 minute nap a day since he was about 10 months or so. The last couple of months he has been sleeping 2 - 3 hours after lunch consistently. Which has been WOW. All of a sudden he’s refusing naps. Won’t sleep in the buggy as he used to, meltdown if I put him in the cot. The days he doesn’t nap at all he seems unaffected and sleeps fine at night, and days like today when I make a big effort to settle him and get him to sleep, he only went down for half an hour at 3pm and woke up so cranky!! Argh!!

So. Is 18 months too early to stop napping? Should I go along with it for the time being and maybe he will start again? Or...any other ideas?? He sleeps perfectly for 11 hours at night and has done since 15 months. Thanks for your advice 🙂

My oldest stopped napping at 18 months, my youngest at 15 months (and the previous 4 months of that was a struggle!).

It is young but he might just be done. He might still nap some days (my oldest still napped every 3 days or so, my youngest was just done)
