6 month old won’t sleep without dummy??

My son will be 6 months in 10 days, and he’s slept through almost every night since he was around 9 weeks old.
However for the last few nights he’s been waking up every time that he’s dropped his dummy and won’t settle again until he’s got in back in his mouth, but falls straight back to sleep once he’s got it again.
Has anyone get any explanation or anything that could help? The fact that i’m waking up so often during the night is making me super cranky during the day which does not help anything when you’ve got a baby !!!
TIA

No advice but our 8 month old is doing the same and I am thinking I need to get rid of the Dummy. Not a bad idea as my 2 year old son sleeps with his still.... Bad habit, but he slept so well and once he learnt to put it back in himself he didn't wake us anymore. So tough, will watch fir advice too.
