my little girl is being a right madam a lately, she went from going in her cot perfectly with no fuss, now to only wanting to be with me! (mummy) she wakes up when i put her in and goes back to sleep when shes next to me.
though the day she has become a lot more clingy and fussy with her eating.
is this normal?

At 29/30 weeks separation anxiety is completely normal, it’s about perceiving distance.
Do you have the wonder weeks app? It’s explained in there. We are just coming out of it.

How long does it last for? do they just come out of it naturally?

2-3 weeks or so, yes there’s nothing you can do.
It’s very distressing for them to realise you can move away and they can’t get to you. With lots of cuddles and reassurance they get used to it. It’s a milestone in cognitive development (but hard when they are so upset).
