3 month old nap routine

Hi there, hope everyone is keeping safe and well! I wonder if you could help me please? My baby is approaching 3 months old and she’s great at feeding every 4 hours. We start the bedtime routine about 7.15 and she’s normally bathed, fed and down for the night by 8ish. She has one dream feed and then is up again at about 7am so I change her and normally feed by 7.45am.

She’s an absolute nightmare with her daytime naps though and has no real structure. She won’t fall asleep naturally so she’ll start to moan and then she’s overtired so it takes me ages to get her off whilst she’s crying.

I want to try putting her down for her naps before she gets overtired so I wondered what times roughly you would suggest she naps with my routine and how long for at each time? Also at this age should I be putting her in her next to me upstairs for daytime naps too?

Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate any advice you can give xxx

Oh my goodness she sounds like a dream baby at night!

When my ds was that age he could manage being awake no longer than 2 hours at a time during the day. I did have to rock him to sleep or if he was really struggling I'd go for a walk and he'd sleep in the buggy. I don't have any other advice but wanted to comment on how lovely it must be for baby to sleep so well at night!

My DS's nap schedule was something like this:

Wake morning at 5.30ish

Nap at 7.30/8ish for about 40 mins

Nap at 10.30/11ish for about 40 mins

Nap at 2ish for about 40 mins

Sometimes nap at 4.30ish for 40 mins (this was the first nap he dropped at about 6 months)

Bedtime at 7.30ish

Then we woke very frequently at night as well. He was not able to nap longer than 40 mins until about 11 months.

I don't know if this is something that would suit your dd but it's the rhythm we had to follow.

Shameless following as I have a just three month old who I'd like to get into more of a routine.

My little girl is 4 months old. She is up for the day at 7. Naps around 9 for 40 mins to an hour. Naps around 12.30 for 90 mins. Naps at 4 for 40 mins to an hour and then goes to bed for the night at 7 X
