I know this is an odd thread but bear with me 😂 DD nearly 12 months has been a terrible sleeper, I’ve co-slept from nearly day 1 (safely) as that’s the only way she and I could get any sleep. She would go in her moses basket/cot for maximum 1-2 hours before waking up and only settling in the bed with me.
She has hit every sleep regression going and made up a couple more in between, she also likes to wake in the night around 3-4 o’clock and be wide awake for several hours about once a month for a few nights.
Then about 3 weeks ago I put her to bed as normal and she slept until 3am in her cot before waking. I was up nearly every hour checking on her wondering why she wasn’t awake 😂 since then she’s been sleeping until at least 3am but has on about 5 occasions now slept all the way through the night. We had about 2 nights last week where she woke at 3 and was wide awake but after that she’s gone back to sleeping nicely.
I’m in shock, DS was similar and it took me until he was 3 to ever get him to sleep through. I was anticipating I’d have to do some severe sleep training at some point and I’m wondering if this is temporary, will she go back to being worse than before or do some babies simply learn to do it on there own? Lol x
