Does anyone else’s LO seem to nap for longer in the morning? My 9 month old DS will often snooze for 1.5 hours in the morning but only around 45 mins around lunchtime which means he still needs a short cat nap late afternoon to tide him over until bedtime. Everything I read says that the lunchtime nap should be the longest one. I’ve tried to cap the morning nap with the view that he may sleep for longer in the afternoon but end up screwing myself over as he’ll still only do a short afternoon one resulting in less total daytime sleep.
I don’t want to impact on his nap transitions if a longer morning nap will make that trickier as he gets older.
