Hi guys
the title says it all.No matter what we tried he just comes anyway. I tried taking him back to his bed but he bursts out crying and screaming, waking his little sister (and neighbours)in the process.
We blacked out his window, put a clock that changes colour when it's 7am, check his room is not too cold/too hot, made sure he goes to the toilet before bed, make sure he has a drink, make sure he eats enough the night before.
When we ask him why he wakes up so early,he just says that it is day time so it is time to wake up.

Help! We are knackered! On top of that we have to do home-schooling because of Covid 19! Shattered!

He's learnt that if he makes a big fuss you'll give in. You need to teach him that you won't. That might mean a week of awful screamy mornings, but unfortunately its the only way to teach him that he's not in charge.

Will he go back to sleep your bed? If yes then let him.
A lot of anxiety around.
Stay calm. Let him stay in your bed in the morning Go back to sleep.

My 4 1/2 year old was the same. I got a stationary advent calendar cheap and when she sleeps the full night in her bed she gets to open a window. It’s usually a pencil or a sticker but so far we are on day 14 and she’s sleeping soundly. I think it’s a habit to break as well which can take a while

If he goes back to sleep in your bed I'd just let him.
