Pooping at night

So my five month old was sleeping through the night for the last couple of weeks. Now all of a sudden his poo habits have changed and he always does it at night. By the time I've changed his nappy he's wide awake and takes ages to get back off again even with a feed and Co sleeping. He just finds it hilarious and spends the time hitting me in the fave and smiling/laughing at me rather than sleeping.

I'm absolutely knackered. But I know he'd sleep through if he didn't need to poop at night!!!

I'm so tired and desperate for sleep. Is there anything I can do to help change the times he poops?! Does anyone have any advice or ideas?

Don't turn the lights on when changing him. Get a gro light as they glow blue so not as stimulating and try and change as quick as you can in as little light as possible, don't talk or interact with him unless he is distressed and hopefully he will drop back off quicker.

Unfortunately I don't think you can do much to alter his poop schedule

My baby started pooing at night sometimes multiple times for about 6 weeks at the same age then just suddenly stopped doing it. I have no idea why it happened or why he stopped doing it.

@Tinyhumansurvivalist it's red light that's less stimulating! Blue is the worst colour
