Moses basket to crib

After some experience and advice please mums.. my DD is not even 12 weeks but is long and even though her feet are at the bottom of her Moses basket the top of her head is pretty much touching the top of the Moses basket. I cannot find any information that says this is dangerous but I’m a worrier nowadays. does anyone know of any danger to her sleeping in her Moses basket still? I’m contemplating using her cot overnight (not looking forward to losing her from my room ha) and keeping the Moses basket downstairs for naps or should I stop using it altogether?! Thank you girls :)

DD went into the cot from 7 weeks for various reasons. Can you just put the cot in your room and have your DD sleep in there? SIDs guidelines say to keep them in the room with you up to 6 months.

Mine all went into cots by about 8-10 weeks. I started off by putting the moses basket in the cot so they, could get used to it. Had no issues with transferring them straight into the cot.

@INeedNewShoes Thank you for the reply - unfortunately not my room isn’t big enough, I could look into getting a next to me crib they are quite big compared to Moses baskets? I would much prefer her to stay in my room

@Historyofeverything1 thank you for the reply - oh fab hopefully I won’t have any issues transferring her over she is sleeping so well just now

Get a second hand next to me if your budget allows and it will fit - doubles up as a travel cot as well. They are a good go between but you would need a new mattress.

We had a moses basket for downstairs daytime naps and a next to me for nighttime. Our baby didn't grow out of moses basket until nearly 6 months but she was small. She then went into own room in cot when she was 6.5 months.
