So we live in Italy and my husband and I decided that, since we are on lockdown at the moment and are stuck in the house for the unforeseeable future, this would be a good time to try and teach our daughter how to sleep in her own crib.
She is 6 months old and starts off the night in her crib where she will usually sleep from about 8:30 to midnight or 1:00, at which point we bring her into our bed until morning. Naps are exclusively in our arms or they will not last longer than 10 minutes.
My question is this - does it matter what I tackle first? Naps or night time? Should I focus on one first and then the other or do both as soon as we decide to start with the transition? We eventually want to attempt some gentle sleep training (for now she is nursed or rocked to sleep) but I feel like I should get her to sleep in her crib before attempting to teach her how to fall asleep on her own...
Any advice, tips & tricks are suuuuuuuper welcome!!!!
