My DS is nearly 1. He’s had a development delay in his gross motor skills, and after lots of physiotherapy he’s learnt to sit independently, pull himself up to sit, roll across the room and now looks very close to crawling all in the space of 3 weeks! For the last two weeks he is literally thrashing and rolling around all night in his cot (while he’s asleep) and making very loud random noises and grunting. It’s constant. I’ve had to turn the monitor down low as I was only getting a few minutes sleep at a time. He isn’t awake when he’s doing it but it will sometimes make that loud a noise that he wakes himself up then cries and seems confused. I thought his teeth were bothering him but calpol hasn’t helped. Does this sound like a regression? Or could it be developmental because he’s learning new skills? I don’t want him to be uncomfortable or there something bothering him and I can’t sleep properly with the monitor turned down low in case I can’t hear him when he needs me!
