When to move to a cot?

Hi all, I'm wondering at what age you all moved your child into their own rooms. My youngest is 20 weeks + 5 days. I understand the current recommendation is to keep your child in your room until 6 months. However, she is now able to roll over both ways ( and has tried to do this in the crib a couple of times ) , is getting her arms / legs stuck in the bars and is waking herself up by bumping her arms on the crib sides. Do you agree it might be time to move? Any advise appreciated. Thanks in advance!

im Confused, the issues you are experiencing will happen with a cot or are you saying she’s too big for the crib she’s currently in?

Moved my LO into a cot at 5 months- but moved the cot into our room. It was cramped but oh well.

I think she's too big for the crib. But I didn't want to move her if it was too early. There is unfortunately no way I could move her cot into our room as she has a cot bed and with the wardrobe etc it's too big! 😐

Tbh I think it’s fine to put her in her own room, you’d have a monitor?
Could you sleep in there if any concerns?

We put ds in his cot when he was about 4 and a half months, when he was too big for the crib.
Cot was in our room as there was plenty of room. And tbh if there hadn't been I'd rather move furniture so the cot could go in our room. We kept him in with us until he was 16 months. Only moved him then so he got used to his own room before we put him in a bed.

9 months 🙈
I didn't want to put her in her own room but she had finally out grown the next-2-me crib so had no other choice. I missed not having her at the side of me. DD didn't mind and slept just as well in her cot on her own.

We’re a bit far the other way, DD was nearly 2. She woke all the time and co-slept, it made sense.
DS is 6 months and in a cot in our room. Aiming for 18 months to move him. He also doesn’t sleep.

Oh yes I could sleep in her room. It's plenty big enough! She has a camera and a breathing mat. So if anything happened or had any concerns I'd know. X

We couldn't fit our full size cot easily in our bedroom so baby slept in a travel cot next to our bed for a couple of months until she was old enough to go into her own room. We moved her at about 7m old in the end when she stopped wanting to feed frequently overnight.
