16 month sleep regression?

Hi there my DD who is 16 months has been a pretty good sleeper since the age of 10 months. She normally sleeps 11-12 hours at night. But the last 3 nights she has woken up screaming uncontrollably at 11pm. The only thing that will comfort her is if I pick her up and cuddle her. But she will not go back into her cot. She’s woken at 11 every night since. The first night I could settle her - She would fall asleep in my arms but every time I transferred her to the cot she would wake up screaming so I settled her by bringing her into bed with me (I’m a single mum so didn’t sleep at all through fear of her rolling!) last 2 nights I have resisted the urge to bring her into my bed as last night she was actually pointing to my bedroom as if that’s where she wanted to go. Anyone been through this and any tips? I’m exhausted and dreading the fact I have work next week - on little sleep will be awful. She’s not teething that I can see and this is just really out of character...anyone? I’ve heard of 18 month regression but not 16 months.
I wondered if it was a nightmare but it’s strange it’s been the same time each night...
