Baby won’t sleep in cot during the dsy

Hello,

My 4 month old baby won’t sleep in a cot during the day. She’ll only fall asleep on me, in her pram or in her bouncer chair. She’s fine at night.

Any tips to get her to go down in the day?

Thanks all 😊

Her daytime cot is different to her night time cot perhaps this is the issue?

Is it worth me getting a sleepyhead?

I wouldnt bother with a sleepy head at this point, they're so expensive and it might not even work!
Is it really a problem for her to sleep on you during the day, my DD did until she was about 8 months and it was great! Gave me time to sit down and rest and recuperate from being up at night etc.
She settles in the cot at night which is the important thing and so she will eventually learn to do it during the day too, for now I would just enjoy it.

Agree with pp. DS didn't sleep in his cot during the day until 7 months. At 8m he stopped napping at all. Then at 9m he staeted napping but only on me. Now at 11m he's back to napping twice a day in his cot.

What have I learned from this? Baby's gonna do whatever he wants Grin

Wise advice, thank you ladies. It’s just I’d love to be able to tidy the house/eat some food when she’s asleep. But that’s hard if she only wants to sleep on me 😂 I guess I’ll just have to go with the flow x

Have you tried a sling? I used to put DD in the Connecta and then I could get lots done while she slept.

Hi OP, mine went through this phase at about this age, i just let her nap in her pushchair and put it in a quiet room. I also used a snoozeshade to give her some darkness.

I just let mine sleep in the pram during the day at that age, if that was what was looking like working.

Even if they did sleep in the pram, I didn't keep particularly quiet around them. I got on with whatever I wanted to do.
