Night time noises

Random question, wondering if anyone else’s little cherub is waking up around 4/5am, making noises for an hour or so before going back to sleep?

My little one is 10 weeks, goes down around 10pm and sleeps until 4/5 so can’t complain - however he wakes up at this time and makes his noises, then once his dummy has been put back in a few times he goes back fast asleep again until 7:30/8. Now I’m not complaining of course but I’ve heard a lot of little ones go right through so wondering why it’s always the same time that he wakes up? He doesn’t want feeding as I’ve tried that and doesn’t cry just makes little wingey noises and his eyes are completely shut the whole time as if he’s still asleep. Anyone having the same?? Xx

Hi @RSmumtobe19 just bumping this for you, and hopefully some Mumsnetters will be along soon with some advice. Flowers

10 week olds sleeping through from 10pm to 7.30am/8am with just a dummy replacement are very rare. I’m not sure who told you lots of babies sleep through without stirring at that age but they were lying.

The noises could be anything - possibly your baby coming out of one sleep cycle and into another a bit loudly. Maybe the house is at its coldest then?

Whatever it is, you have it very good for this stage and things may well change at the four month sleep regression so I would just enjoy it x

My DS is currently 12 weeks. He's very far from sleeping through but does normally go back down quickly after a feed when he wakes up at night. However there have been a couple of occasions lately where I've put him down, he's woken up quickly after that but rather than crying he's spent 45 minutes or so staring and gurgling at his crib liner/the nightlight/the ceiling Hmm he's seemed perfectly content so I've just watched him do it until he drifts off again! He will only go 10 minutes or so on his playmat in the daytime without getting fussy and needing to be picked up and cuddled. No idea what the night time thing is about.
