What are your tips to cope with broken sleep and lack of sleep. I have severe headache all day long and I'm drinking plenty of water and living off paracetamol but does anybody have any tips please!

After a while I used to get used to it. Before baby I loveddd sleep. Lazy lie ins, naps in the afternoon on a weekend. But in the early days of newborn stage if I got 4 hours I'd be made up and could survive. Coffee helped but also going out walking in the fresh air, I found if sitting in, I'd focus on the feeling of being tired x

Same as you

Coffee, paracetamol and water

What I do is not for everyone but it keeps me sane. I couldn't do it without DH. I go for a sleep when DH comes home from work. I get about 5-8 hours a day. He uses expressed milk for 1-2 feeds while I sleep and he goes to sleep when I get up. Although I'm not sleeping at night I'm sleeping in the evening.

I adapted, to some extent.

Also, sounds a bit silly, but I realised early on that if I spent the morning acting like a zombie and thinking "god I'm so tired", and trying to go back to bed, I felt worse. If I just decided to be up and awake, I felt better.

My diet's not been the best at the same time, too much sugar, but you can't do everything.

My mum came round for a couple of hours when the nights were bad for a while to give me some sleep to catch up. Now if DD sleeps more than 5 hours I'm more tired in the morning!
