It's probably been posted before and if you can post me in the right direction that would be great.
DD is becoming worse during the night. She self soothes at 9pm every night after her bottle. Doses off lovely but then will wake around 12am, I have tried everything from holding her hand, co sleeping, I even went to buy a co sleeping crib, white noise, music, tv in the background, absolute silence but she is so fidgety! She thrashes around like a mad baby until she then wakes herself up.
If I sleep lying with her on me she will settle back off but will eventually becomes restless doing that probably due to us both becoming sweaty, and as I am aware it's not the safest I am reluctant to continue to do it. However, having two more DS's I do need to get a little sleep. She does also have a feed during the night at around 3-4am and where she used to settle and go back to sleep until 8ish in the past now she's back awake one hour later unsettled again! I don't think she's hungry as many times she gets bored during the bottle and will fall asleep and happily leave half.
Has anyone got any tips? She never really liked swaddling but I'm considering giving that ago although she's quite a chunk and I imagine she'll break out in no time as I don't want to restrict her as such just to get her feeling comfy. She used to have a sleepyhead pod also but I felt that was restricting her so we removed it. I still have it and have tried to use it again but nothing changes.
Any help is much appreciated, I think I got lucky with my two boys who slept lovely from about 4 months, and please don't think I want a full solid sleep if my baby is hungry I will feed her and have no issue doing that but the time surrounding the feed she just doesn't want to sleep either.
*she doesn't sleep for long periods during the day.
*she has porridge in a morning and a dinner at around 4pm (and loves every spoonful)
*sleep aside she's the most beautiful little girl with a smile to light up a room
