My Baby is Restless but not Colic?

Hi,
My DS is 4 weeks, he is restless from late evening until early hours (1/2am in the morning) he struggles to sleep after nighttime feeds and struggles to bring up wind despite using infacol/gripe water, once I get him to fall asleep (he will refuse unless DS falls asleep on mine or OH's chest) he instantly wakes up as soon as I put him into his basket! I can't get him to settle and stop crying at night. Any ideas as to how to stop this and keep him asleep once asleep please? :)

We're just bumping this thread for you, @Penny28, in case there are any Mumsnetters around with a bit of advice and support.

Hope tonight's a better night for you both. Brew

Have you tried colief? It assists babies to deal with lactose if they struggle to digest it, and really helped dd

Have you tried raising the head of his basket? My baby boy struggles with reflux, especially at night time and raising the head of his basket has helped.
