Waking up screaming after 20 mins

Hi All.

Looking for some suggestions....

I'm quite relaxed about baby sleeping, if she wants to sleep in the day she can. I know when she is tired and put her for naps. It's all really calm.

At night though, after bath, boob, burp and bed, she wakes up after 20 mins being asleep. Wakes up screaming. We then have this for 2-3 hours. She goes down at 730, wakes up at 750, then screams until 930/1030. I don't like seeing her so distressed.

She is 6.5 months old, weaning is going well and EBF.

Any ideas how we can have a settled evening. (Want to crack evenings before I sort out the 2-3 hourly wake ups in the night!) I don't think it's wind as she burps really well before I put her down.

You say you’re relaxed about day sleep and “if she wants to sleep, she can”. How much sleep is she getting in the day?

Sometimes it can be 3 or 4 twenty minute naps.

If I'm out walking with her in the sling or pram she will sleep for hours.

She naps for 20 mins within 90mins of waking then another nap at 12ish then again at 4ish, normally.

So depending on what we are doing for the day she can have anything from 1 hour 20 min to 4 hours.

Either way, we still have issues with night time sleep. Although last night she fell asleep at 1930 and woke at 1950, no crying but full of beans, chatting away until 2300. 🙄
