11 week old sleeps well one night, not the next

Anyone else in same situation?! My 11 week old has been capable of doing really good nights- the other night slept 8pm until 8am with only one quick feed at 4am.. So think "yay, we've cracked this," then following night will wake up for a night feed and be really restless for hours after.

Just wondering if this is a common thing. Know she's still only tiny so cant expect too much.

Yeh very common around that age we had a whole week of it, then back to two feeds a night and we are still there at 5 months.. they get there in the end though.
My first cracked sleeping through very earlier on however so they are all different

Ah ok so not the only one then!! Hopefully she'll settle into more of a pattern soon. Thought id struck gold with the 8am to 8pm night 😭

1 1/2 years old here and wakes frequently.
Just don't expect them to sleep through and you'll be fine.

She’s 11 weeks! That’s tiny! Babies that young are supposed to wake up in the night.

At 11 weeks I remember we got a 12 hour stint and it was amazing! The next day 3 night feeds.

We're at 20 weeks now and the four month regression hit so hard that a good night now is 4 night feeds, a bad night where DD won't be put down for more than 2 hours total. Babies are so unpredictable!

It's changeable until they are about 5 ime, I learnt by my second to treasure the nights they slept through but to expect them to not.

I never had anything like this. Take the long stints of sleep when you get them and don’t look the gift horse in the mouth!

Somebodystired · 02/02/2020 07:03

If it helps, think of it as sleeping really badly one night and then really well the next, because they're exhausted from the bad sleep!

Baby should be frequently waking still at 11 weeks, perfectly normal.

Yea was more than grateful for the 12 hr stint I must say. Although sounds like I cant count my blessings just yet.
Like u say, acceptance is key!
