Help with 18mo sleep

DD is 18 months old and has only ever been BFd from birth. She will wake around 3-4 times from bedtime (7pm), and then if lucky sleep through until 4-5am before waking wanting boob.

Bedtime routine has been consistent since around 4 months old as we knew we wanted to have good routine from the start, so nothing changed there.

Partner can't put her to bed as he works late so only I can do this, no family around to help either.
If I even attempt to put her down without a feed, she will scream and scream.

We have followed Dr Gordon's technique by not giving boob between 11-6, and it takes my other half an hour sometimes to settle her. Although we cannot follow the technique properly day by day as sometimes she'll only wake once, others much more frequently so no consistency in her sleeping.

We have tried bath before bed, giving cereal before bed, offering water instead of milk, giving paracetamol solution in case of teething, teething granules. You name it, we've tried it. For long periods as well, not just chopping and changing.

She's never taken a bottle, nor will she accept one. She doesn't drink milk at all in the day and understands 'booboo all gone', and is quite happy to head off and play.

Strange thing is, come nap time we can put her down wide awake, no boob, nothing and she will happy send herself to sleep for two hours undisturbed.

Desperate here for an answer as waking up at 6 for work, and not having a moment to myself is getting to me. It's effecting so much in my life!!
