10 month old daughter still cries at bedtime

Our 10 mo seems to just explode at night. Ever since taking her out her bath to dry she just kicks off and works herself up, same with then after feeding her and putting her down around the same time for bed she can cry for upto 30+ minutes or more! I’m feeling exhausted from this and dread bedtime every day, when most parents say bedtime is the best time. I feel stolen from these moments and have just got so accustomed to thinking this is just her, but she’s now 10 months old and this is still happening. I’ve tried all sorts of different things, lastnight left her to cry herself to sleep for half an hour as it seems if we go in and then leave again it starts it all over for her and then she’s more tired. Does anyone else’s child cry for 30+ minutes every night before going to sleep or am I missing something?

Could she be overtired? You could try an earlier bedtime to see if that helps.

What time is she going to sleep and is she having naps? Could be overtired. Do you have a night light and music that can sometimes help.

My dd goes to sleep at 6:45. Maybe your bedtime is too late? I always do slow dinner, long leisurely playful bath with bubbles music and loads of toys and water books. Then usually moon and me if we haven’t missed it, clangers, in the night garden w
With her bedtime milk. Then upstairs, about 3/stories, favourite is where’s the green sheep and owl and the pussy cat went to sea. Then I put on night light and cd of classical music. Usually same song on repeat different one each night.

Sleeps until 9am Grin

Although wonder if leaving cd on all night is actually bad thing. But I’ll take the bills!
