Day time naps

Hi. Our little one is 12 weeks old. We got night time sorted she starts her bed time rountine at 7 and normally sleeps through to about 6. During the day though I struggle to get her to nap and can never put her down and she then refuses to sleep. Is it to early to start a nap rountine for her age. Been told by other mums she do it in time after 4 months old and to enjoy the cuddles to then. When she asleep on me I dont get more than an hour about 3 to 4 times a day. I think this is due to her age and also she sleeps so much at night.

In the same boat, DD is 11wks, goes to bed and sleeps well (unless she's poorly, like now, and then it's a nightmare) but naps are unpredictable, short and always on me. Ive been told she'll get naps sorted in the next few months so for now i just renewed my netflix account and keep a box of biscuits by the sofa.

I started a nap routine around 3months, which was a bit of a disaster at first - 3 or 4 x 30min naps! But with persistence we are now doing 4 naps a day ranging between 45mins and 2 hours all in his cot! So maybe start with a loose routine but accept some naps on you to keep up the amount of sleep your baby gets, as I think I went a bit gung ho with it and my DS got a bit over tired!
