5 month old, waking and back arching. HELP!!

Hi,

Our 5 month old is almost fully breastfed with one/two bottle formula a day.

He used to sleep in a Chicco Next To Me crib in our room, breastfed between 7-8 then 1030-11 then 2-4 in the nights. After that last 2-4 feed I would take the baby downstairs, give him formula. Put him is his moses basket in our living room where he slept. I would then carry his moses basket (while asleep), back to our bedroom then I'd go to work. This worked well as it would give my wife a break and a chance to sleep.

He then started to sleep less, for example waking every 1/2 hours. Which we presumed 4 month sleep regression. But we also thought to move him into his own room in his crib as we thought us moving in our bed was waking him.

This hasn't helped, probably it is worsened now. When he wakes crying and the sush pat doesn't work. I pick him up and he arches his back. Cries for 10/20 seconds and falls asleep in my arms. If I put him down, he cries again. Lastnight we put his moses basket in his crib, he did sleep a bit better but still arched his back when he woke and we picked him up.

Any ideas? :(

Wind mabey. Possibly he is less uncomfortable in the more upright position of your arms?

Could be a number of things. Might be best to check it out with a GP

Thank you.

We thought about wind but we don't think that is the case.

But since I messaged, he had a greenish stool so we booked a doctor's appointment.
