my 15mo dd had been waking up during the night in the cot she slept on a mattress on the floor when she stopped at my moms and slept through (used my routine) so i thought i would take the side off, and did but my dd just cries, screams, tries making herself sick! i have put her in bed at 7 after a bath, cuddle, milk and as soon as we get to her bed she starts im fine to leave her crying going up every 10mins giving her a cuddle tucking her back into bed (silently on my half anyway) dp doesnt like to leave her crying and yesterday brought her back down stairs i have told him he should have given her a cuddle and put her back to bed, tonight he has stopped up there with her even though it has not stopped the screaming, it cannot continue like this so how have you coped doing this as i feel like ive failed i need my evenings back im at the end of my teether!
thank you in advance sorry its long

put the side back on ? Unless there is a real safety issue with her climbing out it seems unnecessarily early if it causes this upset and you could at worst eliminate that as the trigger for her sleep problem.
