Life After Swaddling

What can I put DD 6m in to sleep that isn't a swaddle? I still loosely swaddle as she flails her arms round and scratches / rubs her face so much she hurts herself.
I tried a sleeping bag briefly last night and she rubbed her eyes loads.
I don't swaddle when I feed her or if we co-sleep, but I'm thinking to the future when she'll definitely probably move into her own room at some point.

We transitioned from swaddling slowly, so one arm out at a time for a week each before moving to a sleeping bag. We did use the love to dream transition bag as she could move her arms a little more in that but it still contained the movement a bit. First we did 3 nights of getting used to sleeping in the arms up but in position. We then let out her least dominant arm (left) for a week until she'd worked out she didn't need to fling it around all night, then the other arm. We also accepted there would be more wake ups during this period and were ready to resettle with white noise (ollie the owl) when she woke. She now sleeps in a sleeping bag with both arms sprawled out at the sides Grin

A magical invention that for some reason a lot of people having heard of...

The ergo baby sleeping bag.

It’s a super tight sleeping bag that mimics swaddling but still allows for leg movement. It also has poppers on the arm holes so you can slowly transition to having one arm out/one arm in to both arms out whilst baby is still feeling secure with the tightness of the bag
