Can anyone offer any tips or suggestions on how we can get our 5 ½ month old daughter to go back to sleeping through the night?:)
We have had a routine going now for the past 2 or 3 months where we would put her down in her big girl cot at around 7-8pm, she will then wake up around 10pm-ish at which point we will give her some milk. Up until a few weeks ago she would generally then sleep through until about 7-8am, but now it’s almost like clockwork, waking at 10pm, 2.30am, 5.30am, 7.30am and it’s like being back with a newborn and giving us hardly any meaningful sleep!
When she wakes in the early hours its not always a cry its more her just lying there awake babbling and squeaking away. We wondered if she is just hungry but we are giving her milk when she needs it every 3-4 hours and have also starting weaning her this past week (only a couple of teaspoons a day at the moment).
We keep telling ourselves its only temporary and it won’t be long until she starts sleeping through again, but right now that doesn’t look like its coming any time soon!
