My 1 month old has beem fighting her sleep (mainly daily naps) since about 2 weeks old. I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I have tried catching her before she gets overtired but she can go hours with fighting her sleep before finally giving in(only for a short nap) then the battle begins again with her. She is tired but refuses to nap no matter what i try & gets herself worked up alot. Advice needed. Thanks in advance

Sling, pram, pram with SnoozeShade, car, dummy, swaddle, white noise, blackout blind, feed to sleep, rocking, bouncer, shushing? Not all at once. Unless that's what works...

At about six weeks DD needed the full bingo card of lots of these all at once. Pitch dark bathroom with the shower on full blast, her on my shoulder while I did squats.

Have you tried putting her down in case she's a mad unicorn baby who needs less intervention and to be left alone to sleep?

Yeah i've tried rocking, white noise, swaddle bouncing, stroking her face. She gives in after hours of battle and working herself up to give in for less than 30mins. Hoping she'll outgrow it as getting her into a daytime routine seems impossible atm

We had 30-minute naps til 6/7 months, and are only settling into a proper structured routine now at nearly nine months. Exhausting! Hopefully the sleep battles will pass for you when she makes it through the fourth trimester.
