Baby wakes up every hour, rolling over to his tummy

Ladies,

My 6 month old boy was never a great sleeper but recently it got much worse. Every hour or so during the night he wakes himself up because he rolls over to his tummy. He can't seem to settle himself down after. Does anyone know how to deal with it?

Hi. I have the same problem! Our (almost) 5 month old started sleeping on her mattress last night for the first time without the sleepyhead and she woke up several times just because she rolled over onto her tummy, lifted her head and started looking around, eventually crying!! She did two lovely long naps on her mattress yesterday during the day so I thought "wow let's get rid of the sleepyhead, she's a big girl now, she can sleep on her mattress!". What do we do? I'm reluctant to put the sleepyhead back - I kind of want to move forward and teach her to settle back to sleep. She's always slept in sleepsuits and nothing else, would a sleeping bag help? Would it prevent her from rolling over? Any ideas? Is this just a passing phase and if so, how long does it take? I'm EXHAUSTED. Thanks
