Hi - am at wits end and hoping for help.
Our just turned 3 year old wakes every. Single. Night. Screaming for (usually) daddy, although if daddy is not suitably responsive he will scream for mummy. Not night terrors as he is fully awake and wants attention. Usually turns into wild screaming the house down and takes 1-2 hours to settle. We have a 1 year old daughter as well so try to limit the screaming by taking him downstairs. This is after him taking 1-2hrs to settle at bedtime.
We recently went away for 2 nights and left the kids with my parents...he happily slept through. So he is just acting up for attention. How the hell do we stop this? If he is left alone he starts to trash his room...
We are both exhausted and at our wits end with all the screaming. I’m typing this listening to him go bananas now (we are in Aus so it’s 3am here)
