Did you use a breathing monitor/sensor?

I’m a bit confused whether to get one for
Newborn DS. I am in the paranoid watching him breathe phase which means I struggle to drop off at night even if he does.

A friend mentioned a sock monitor they wear and a breathing sensor pad - but are these designed for when they go into another room?

And with the pads do you have to switch them off every time you take them out of the cot? (He’s currently out of it more than he’s in it!)

Never used one. I was paranoid about dd breathing for a couple of days until sleepless nights hit hard! Then once I could get my baby to sleep I also slept like a baby! I was extremely paranoid about SIDS (and I still am, my dd is 5 mo). But I am so tired at nighttime I just want to sleep and not be waken up by false alarms. Myself and hubby frequently check on our baby when she sleeps and I found it to be enough.
