DS banging his head on cot bars

DS 8 months keeps banging his head during the night on his cot bars. Either that or he will have his face against the bars.

I'm so worried that he's going to hurt himself. I know that cot bumpers aren't considered safe these days, but how can I stop him from doing this?

Mine used to do this and suddenly stopped, is he doing it in his sleep?

@shreddednips I'm not sure. Just whenever I go in he's always in a funny position and it frightens me.

Hmm, do you have the cot tilted for reflux by any chance? We did, as soon as we untilted it the head banging stopped immediately. I think it was causing his head to slip closer to the bars.
