I have a 7 week old and at the mo she tends to go down between 11 and midnight. When can I start moving her a bit earlier and how should I go about this? Thank you!

We didn't get our evenings back till around 16 weeks when she started going down at about 7pm I'm afraid. It's too early at 7 weeks but one thing we found helpful was introducing a regular morning time - 7.30am - so she began to learn to distinguish between day and night.

Bedtime at 7 weeks? Lol. We started trying a routine about 13 weeks. 8pm i think. He is 11 months now and its about the same time now

I'd wait a few weeks, it should naturally start getting earlier.

DD was midnight till noon till about 18 months. Then 11pm etc. Suited us - didn’t want her up at the crack of sparrows.

Our DS's bedtime was probably around 10pm-ish at 7 weeks. We gradually started trying to get him to bed earlier and earlier from 5 weeks or so, but it didn't get to the classic 7pm until around 10/11 weeks. Routine isn't an easy thing to get into at that age!

I instigated a bedtime routine at 8 weeks and DS started going out like a light within 3 days. But otherwise he would spend 7 until midnight crying, so it was the best for everyone.
