One year old waking for 3 night feeds

I need some help with my DD. She is almost one and has never been a great sleeper but since being poorly (she's fine now) her sleep has got really bad.

She goes to bed later than she used to and fights it. This is a typical night now:

8pm - falls asleep drinking a bottle of milk (the only way I can get her to sleep)

11pm - wakes for a bottle of milk

1am - wakes for milk

3am - wakes for milk

6am - up for the day

She has a 2-3 hour nap at lunchtime. She eats plenty in the day I don't think she can be hungry in the night. What can I do?

Time for some gentle night weaning! Only offer milk at one of the wakeups. Water and a cuddle for the others. Might be best to try after Christmas though?

The thing is that some babies wean themselves off night feeds and some just don't. You could be waiting a while if you just leave it up to her.

Choose a week when you don't have too much on so it doesn't matter if you and DH / DP are tired. Make sure you're both fully on board. Then buy a book that gives you a method of sleep training (there are lots - it doesn't need to be full on cry it out) and follow what it says.

Good luck!
