DS (just short of 6 months) sleeps a good stretch until about 4am, then he's impossible to settle. He screams, shouts, cries.. he just will not go back to sleep. He eventually crashes again around 8am and it's fucking exhausting. It's been weeks of this. What can I do? I have no choice but to intervene as he totally loses his shit and is inconsolable. I'm worried I'm continuing this habit and he'll keep doing it but don't know what choice I have. He's mix fed. We try breast or bottle feeding when he does this and neither makes a difference. Neither does a nappy change. Singing to him. His mobile. White noise. Nothing.

At what time does he goes to sleep at night? Could it be too early? How much does he sleep during the day?

I am wondering if his bed time is a bit too early as well? We had an issue with 4:45 wake ups and I shifted his bedtime a little and now it's more like 6 (which is not ideal but better Grin). Also, when he wakes at 4am and you feed - does he seems hungry? As in, do you think he is waking ravenous for a feed, or waking just because he considers it to be morning time?

He goes to bed around 6:30pm and is usually asleep by 7pm. His daytime naps are all over the place, but usually has 2 a day for about an hour each but at varying times. I don't let him nap after 4.30pm

Have you tried a dream feed to try get him to go a bit longer?
