Squirming and crying and NO sleep!!

Help!! I don’t know what is going on with my 3 month old daughter ... For about a week now she has been sleeping really badly, waking up every hour or so to nurse or comfort nurse and only staying asleep if I keep her on my chest all night! When I try to move her or put her down in her crib she squirms and thrashes about so much that she wakes herself up and starts crying... The worst part is that right before this started she had had her first three nights in a row of more or less sleeping through the night, only waking up once!! I really dont know what to do anymore and I am EXHAUSTED and not getting any sleep. We’ve never really co-slept since I don’t really rest when she’s next to me, so I’ve been ‘sleeping’ in the arm chair for the past week and it’s starting to take a toll on me... has this happened to anyone else??? Could it be early signs of teething? She’s also been drooling a LOT lately??

Yep.. that’s it... no tips, just good luck! We’ve all been there

You have described one of my dcs exactly.

It turns out he had cmpa ( cows milk protein allergy) and terrible silent reflux, but it took a long time to diagnose. I cut out all dairy from my diet and after about three weeks he got a lot better.

He eventually grew out of it at about the age of 2.5.

I really feel for you. Sleep deprivation is a killer.

I was thinking it may be reflux but I am lactose intolerant so dont eat or drink milk products and havent really changed anything in my diet lately that would bring on this sudden change... did your LOs reflux start suddenly?!

Might be the four month sleep regression hitting her a bit early. I feel for you, it's horrendous when you're in the thick of it. She will eventually get through it although it doesn't feel like it and I know that's not much help in the moment.

Are you able to put her down awake at the start of the night so she falls asleep knowing where she is? I never could with mine as they'd scream but some babies can be. If you google the regression there are lots of things you can try. Good luck.

Please plan to co-sleep safely, don’t sleep in a chair with her, that’s high risk for SIDS.
Google safe sleep seven.

Agree with @LabellaChicca
This was me in the beginning

My baby also does this, i used to get her to sleep fine, she falls asleep on my chest then i roll her next to me, she never woke up. I recently got a next to me crib, and now she wont leave my chest just wriggles and moans til i place her back on me or feed her. Nightmare
