Can't put him down!

Hi
My DS is 4 months and every time I go to put him down when he's asleep or just sleepy his eyes pop open and he crys.

I have no idea what to do I've tried waiting till his in a deep sleep and leaving my hand on his chest but nothing helps.

He is teething at the moment and sleeps in my bed now at night.

Any tips, tricks or words of encouragement please.

There is something that happens around 4 months that means that babies become increasingly difficult to put down (and stay down!) I think it's something to do with their sleep now being more like adult sleep. Have you looked into the Shush-Pat technique? I am using it currently on my 4 month old - and it's working well. Teaches them to settle themselves rather than you having to settle them!
