Baby wakening every hour - help

My 7 month old has gotten worse and worse with his sleep since 4 months and now is up every hour. Wakes up crying and needs soothed back to sleep. also taking two overnight feeds which he shouldn't really need given what hes taking during the day. Has anyone has this and they've just grown out of it?

My first did this between 6-8 months. It was awful, felt like we were going insane from the lack of sleep - hope you're ok.

She didn't grow out of it unfortunately, we had to sleep train and it was sorted within three days. Maybe you'll be luckier though!

Thanks for replying @beggingforsleep I'm coping as I'm still off work but I keep thinking I need this sorted for me going back in March. I'm glad your DD now sleeps for you, what sleep training did you use?

We ended up using Andrea Grace and she was great but it's expensive and probably not anything you couldn't get out of a book. We were at the stage where we couldn't think for ourselves though.

It was sort of controlled crying I guess but you stayed in the room. So bath, milk (I was still BF), book (basically don't let them fall asleep on the boob) and then bed. Stay next to the cot shushing/reassuring them till they fall asleep. You can pick up but they have to fall asleep in the cot on their own. Just made her worse when we did though so didn't do that. Then same for all night wakings so you're night weaning too.

It was tough but by day 3 she slept through and she was the same happy baby every morning.

I know not everyone agrees with sleep training but it was exactly what we all needed.

I learnt all this first time round but now have a 5 month old who only naps on me and spends most of the night in our bed Blush. Can see where this is going to end up!
