Blanket covered baby's face!

Please put my mind at ease about this!

My 6 week old baby was napping in the pram downstairs swaddled in a cellular blanket which has big air holes. I was dozing in the chair beside her for half an hour and got up to check on her and saw she had snuggled down into the blanket and it was covering the bottom half of her face. I had wrapped her in it with another woollen blanket firmly tucked over her but she somehow had her face half under the cellular. She was placed with her feet at the bottom of the pram bassinet so I think she had contorted herself to one side??

I am really anxious that I put her in danger of overheating or being smothered by not swaddling her tight enough. Am I being ridiculous?? I should have got her sleepsack from upstairs!

I would just make sure in future that you either swaddle her tightly or not at all - the baby shouldn't be able to loosen it.

No harm done though, you'll know for next time Smile

I would use a different kind of blanket for swaddling or use a specific swaddling blanket.

I will definitely be more cautious in future! Confused
