Hi

Whenever I try to put my 10 month old down for a nap/ bedtime he screams hysterically.

It’s a cry I’ve never heard from him before until recently and only happens when it’s nap time or bed time.

I have started to pick him up again because he gets so upset but sometimes being lifted and hugged doesn’t even stop the crying.

I have also lay down with him in my bed to see if he would be calmer lying down next to me but it always ends up the same.

It’s really distressing me, I’m worried there could be something hurting him but he is only like this when it’s nap time or bed time.

Just to add this has only started very recently in the past week, he had a high temperature one night which I got down with calpol and since then it’s been like this!

Does anyone have any experience of this or advice Sad x

I don't have much experience as I've no kids of my own but my niece is almost 2 and she can be like this. We had her stay over last week and I bought a stars & moon projector which seemed to distract her slightly. Sounds like he's just taken a dislike to be put down for a nap, so maybe distraction could be worth a try??
Sorry prob not that helpful but thought worth a mention

Teeth? Teething can be different each time. Could also explain the temperature.

Ear ache is always worse when lying down. Might be worth going to the GPs.
