Hi all, my little girl is 10 months old and has never slept through the night. I’ve always followed her cue and put her down when she’s sleepy so nap and bed times vary day to day, but generally she’s awake 2 hrs, sleeps 1-1.5 hrs, awake for 3 hrs, sleeps 1-1.5 hrs, then ready for bed 2 hrs later. She usually has around 3 hours sleep a day. Generally she’s been going to bed between 6-6.30 and waking up around the same time or earlier in the morning, plus waking about 10 for a feed and 2 for a cuddle. We’ve been doing really well but we had our first night away from her on Friday and since then it’s all gone downhill, she’s waking every 2-3 hours and taking over an hour to settle again in the early hours. We’re trying to move her bedtime later to see if that makes a difference, but today she’s just been tired and miserable. Has anyone got any advice? I don’t know whether to try waking her / putting her down for naps at specific times or just going with her tired cues (which feels more intuitive to me) so she gets used to a more consistent routine? She’s happy to put herself to sleep, but I think during the night she’s really relying on breast or cuddles to go back to sleep.
Any advice, or anyone had a similar experience?
