One year old nap

Where and how does your one year old nap?

I feel I've got into some really bad habits with my soon to be 11 month old. When he's tired he has some milk and I cuddle him to sleep in the chair in his room, in his sleeping bag, in the dark. Then I put him in his cot. Same routine since he was about 5 months old. We had problems with him screaming blue murder at bed time despite going down fine previously so this seemed to be the easiest and least stressful way! All sounds lovely which it is apart from if I actually wanted to go out only my husband can replicate this for him and secondly I am going back to work soon and he will be going to a childminders who won't have time for all of this! I'm really scared!

He's not the type of baby to ever just "drift off" if out and about in his pram he's too nosy, he may fall asleep in the car seat if I drove for like 20 mins and I'd have to keep on driving to keep him asleep!

As they grow will they just fall asleep anywhere?!
How the hell will he sleep if I'm not there? He's a fussy little so and so!!

Not really advice, but just wanted to say you aren't alone. I still cuddle and feed my 1 year old to sleep, and on the rare occasion I haven't been able to, my husband/parents just have to 'deal with him moaning' for 30 mins before he eventually gives in. I do personally think it is something they will grow out of, and until he can understand 'it's bedtime now, sleep time' then I'll continue to feed and cuddle to sleep
