Is there much point in the dreamfeed when baby fully wakes up?

We dreamfeed our 6 month old at around 10pm every night. This was working up until the 4 month regression mark and since then hasn't been the same.
She wakes up as soon as I go into her room, she huffs and puffs like she's got the hump, knocks the bottle back and then thinks it's playtime when I change her nappy.

I change the nappy as we've had too many early morning wake ups for leaks and more often than not, she's often left a little constipated (reflux milk) nugget in there for a surprise after the feed!

She doesn't sleep through the night so I wouldn't say we feed for that reason, that's just the natural pattern of feeds that works out to be the last feed of the day but that last bottle does see her through until the morning despite her multiple night time wake ups for the dummy.

Does the nappy change wake her or the bottle? Would a bigger size nappy or different brand help? Neither of my boys were on board with a dream feed. I tried my hardest but just had to give up and let them tell me when they want milk. The time gradually went longer and longer as they were eating too.

I've tried dream feeding my 5 month old and she wont have any of it. Clamps her mouth shut and it seems I'm waking her up. Shes currently going through the 4 month regression.. I'm just waiting it out at the moment. She goes to bed at 7pm and I'm having to follow shortly after because I just dont know what the night will bring.

@Stroller15 As soon as I go in her room her eyes ping open and she kicks her legs with excitement!
She drinks the whole bottle so she obviously wants it but settling after is a right pig.
I've tried every nappy going. I've just moved her up a size so I'll see if that makes a difference but I still changed her tonight as her 6pm one was already feeling pretty full.

@Shauna044 The 4 month is a real beast. It'll be over before you know it but in the meantime, I'm with you on the early bedtimes!

I dont dream feed my 6 month DD for the exact same reason... it wakes her up!
Why dont you try a few nights without the feed and see what it brings? If bad you can just continue as you were

@girlmummy25 Me & the OH have been threatening to do that for weeks now and keep chickening out. I'm going to have to be brave.

Does your LO wake for a nightfeed?

@Thismummyruns sometimes she sleeps through 10-11hrs. Other times shes awake so i feed her but she rarely wakes up because shes hungry. She tends to just have more oz before bedtime
