At what sort of age should children be given a pillow? My DD is still very young (17 months) but has started using any soft toy she can smuggle into her cot as a pillow. If I leave a blanket draped over the ne dof the cot, she pulls that down and uses that, and she loves the pillows on our bed. Is it bad for spinal development to give children pillows?

Blimey, I didn't realise they could go into a bed that young! I'd be scared she might fall out - she tends to bounce around quite a bit in her cot, despite the movement restrictions imposed by grobags.
